The number of cases in the Ebola outbreak has risen to 8,914, with the number of dead climbing to 4,447, as the World Health Organization warned Tuesday that there could be up to 10,000 new cases a week in two months. The death rate has risen to 70 percent— previously the WHO estimated the death rate at around 50 percent.
